T-MOBIL versus BOOSTMOBILE
As of August 15 -- T-Mobile is raising message receipt rates for Text (SMS), MMS (e-mail & av or image & text messages) & Instant Message receipt
to $.05, $.25, $.05 ... instead of unlimited free messages.
Further Instant Message has not been working on my T-Mobil cell phone, nor for others since the second week of the World cup (that company was the official Instant Messenger & mobile phone? for the event?)
BOOSTMOBILE .. charges nothing to receive TEXT (SMS) messages; and does not charge for the receipt of 'text' MMS e-mail like messages (just $.25 per message for picture and audio messages). No charge for Instant Messenger receipts.
BOOSTMOBILE offers pre-paid customers all the www moble web they can use at just $.20 per option inititation.
(ie. - full web service each time they use a T-Zones like web access)
BOOSTMOBILE now offers 90 days of service for $20 with full unused rollover if re-charged before 90 days.
If desired let T-Mobil know at customercare@tmobil.com -- and ask whether T-Mobil can match the BOOSTMOBILE rates & some features for pre-paid customers? I'd especially appreciate a greater pre-paid full web option; and full no cost message receipt or a flat rate for MMS messages of a text - email nature only.
BOOSTMOBILE have an option called BOOST Walkie Talkie .. an internal network unlimited no-airtime talk option to other cell-phones in the BOOSTMOBILE network. It just costs $1.50 per day all day -- whether used more than once or not. When it is not used there is no deduction of $1.50 (ie -- no daily charge). BOOSTMOBILE also offers anoptional GPS feature on most pre-paid phone plans.
BOOSTMOBILE coverage also includes most of resort Baja California in Mexico.
BOOSTMOBILE, may not have clarified or had the full 90 day account for $20 a year ago with rollover ofunused minutes if renewed before 90 days. T-MOBIL has a 90 day validity for $50, otherwise $10 for 30, $20 for 60, and one-year after $100 is spent on the account.
If I were to change, it would be for the greater mobile web access & unlimited free message receipt for MMS text style messages.
Otherwise, as for the use of a cell phone -- rate and service of T-Mobil are among the best.
T-Mobil's cheapest cell-phone ToGo prepaid bubble pack package costs $24-27 now at Walmart; and the lowest cost bubble pack BOOSTMOBILE cell phone costs $49.
