More people (especially non-subscribers) will be listening to XM
Satellite Radio's POTUS 08 [Channel 130] - the XM Radio public service
poltical affairs channel; as that company has trimmed its free channel
samplerpackage back to 'preview' channels; the weather emergency alert
channele; and POTUS 08. (Sorry, end of music freebies). An XM Radio
receiver kit is all that's required.

Tonight's programming includes a night news hour re-play of today's GOP
debate. Of further note, POTUS 08 takes & plays advertisements - at
least political ads - Gov. Romney had one for his presidential campaign.

XM Satellite Radio has created (about a month now) the channel POTUS 08,
on XM radio channel 130, as a public service for the forthcoming US
presidential election year. Previously, Channel 130 was the XM radio
MSNBC channel. With C-Span like content, POTUS 08 offers campaign
speeches; repeat presidental debate coverage; & news & campaign
information.

Should you now have any XM radio receiver; with or without a
subscription or activation, XM Radio's POTUS 08 will come in freely;
by no moremore than your available reception; at no charge as a public
service of XM radio. And while on it, so will eight other channels: XM
Prevew [1]; Hits of the 80's on Channel 8; Top Tracks on Channel 20; New
Contemporary Music on ETHEL Channel 46; US Country on Channel 17;
Watercolours (lite jazz) on Channel 71; FoxNews on Channel 121;
Emergency News & some weather on Channel 247; Sports Previews on Channel
143.

A reminder; that if SIRIUS & XM Radio merge, XM subscribers will not
have to buy another radio to receive service.

SCOTTMCON the blogger got the following odd email on the weekend
(actually something like 23:30 Saturday night) asking for PayPal vitals
-- account verification bank info card numbers etc.

Seemed unusual but the included link joined and opened a PayPal like
page. But as a worldly person, this blogger went no further --
expecting headaches from it and believing it a fraud.

Note that it came in the middle of the night; was from the UK PayPal to
an American address; and was testing legitimacy through Turkey? And
the turkey who wrote it in slick con-man style couldn't proof read or
spell investigation [Ivestigation].

The 'whois' info about the outfit also follows the note.

Should you receive one, this blogger recommends confirming it with
PayPal before giving information. It was sent to abuse@paypal.com by
SCOTTMCON just in case. PayPal has not yet answered. Unfortunately it
caused a suspension of my account use, nonetheless, while security in it
is re-checked - citing some unauthorised third-party attempt. At least
no losses for scottmcon but time.
